Bay Mills Charter Schools Office Holiday Card Contest

Lake Superior Academy Students Win Holiday Card Contest

With the holiday season well underway, we at Lake Superior Academy are excited to announce that 6 of our students won Bay Mills Community College’s Holiday Card Competition.

Bay Mills Community College has been authorizing schools since the year 2000, and now authorizes over 40 schools serving over 20,000 students. Among those were six of our very own Lake Superior Academy K-6 students. Those students were given rewards based on their rank, and the winners were featured on the cover of Bay Mills Charter School Office’s yearly Holiday Card.

Those students who won were as follows: Hudson Fountain – Kindergarten, Penelope Depalma – Kindergarten, Maddox Corbiere – Kindergarten, Clara Pierce – 4th Grade, Cora Goulet – 5th Grade, Meera Mayette – 3rd Grade.

Mariah Wanic, Director of Charter Schools at Bay Mills Community College Charter School Office had plenty to say about this year’s contestants. “They did an excellent job. I loved seeing our students showcase their creativity and excitement. It was a really tough competition but everyone should be proud of the work they submitted.”

As we start the new year off on a good note, we want to thank our families and staff for bringing a winning attitude to our students every day. That winning attitude is what inspires our students to be the creative-minded and gifted students we see in our classrooms. We look forward to seeing those smiling faces again, and are even more excited to see who wins next year.
