A Day at LSA
We understand the importance of maintaining a fairly consistent schedule for the health and emotional well-being of your child. The following schedule is used on a daily basis, with changes occurring on special days such as holidays and in-house program days
7:30-8:00 a.m. Student Drop Off
Families sign up for their preferred drop off time in order to make this time period as safe, stress-free and organized as possible.
Parents are welcome to accompany their child into the school’s arrival area, but all students must enter the classroom unaccompanied by parents or other non-enrolled siblings.
8:15-8:30 Group welcome time which will include the following:
Pledge of Allegiance, National Anthem, monthly poetry recitation and morning Grace and Courtesy lesson.
8:30-11:30 Morning work session which will include:
Individual academic work choices, outdoor work, music and art.
11:00 Prep work and lessons for lunch preparation.
Student lunch preparations.
Family style meal.
12:00-12:30 Outdoor work and recreation. Young nappers excused for quiet time.
12:30 – 3:00 Afternoon work session which will include:
Individual academic work choices, music and art.
3:00-3:30 Teacher-led reading and dismissal preparation.
3:30 After-school activity participants are directed to the appropriate room
