Lake Superior Academy from a Parent’s Perspective – #4

My son transitioned very well to the public school system. After spending 5 years at LSA, I was a bit worried about how we would transition into a completely different setting, but I have been pleasantly surprised. I feel that LSA really helped him with self-confidence. He was able to learn at his own pace which gave him the ability to really absorb the material without the pressure of feeling like he had to keep up with his peers.

Academically he is doing very well in public school. In his own words, he feels like he’s even a bit ahead of his peers. His grades for the first two marking periods have been all A’s and a B. Even after the rollercoaster of the pandemic and all the virtual learning, LSA made sure he was well-prepared for 6th grade. Socially he has also adjusted very well. He joined the basketball team without hesitation and is having a lot of fun with his new peer group. I couldn’t be happier with how he has transitioned and I am very grateful for the years he spent at LSA.
