Although Amy Brzuchalski worked as a substitute teacher for Lake Superior Academy last year, we would now like to welcome her to a full-time staff position! Upon completion of her BA in Early Childhood Education with a Pre-K endorsement, Amy earned a State of Ohio Teaching Certificate and taught as a Kindergarten teacher until relocating to Pickford, Michigan. In addition to her educational degree, Amy is a Certified Naturalist with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. This part of her education works perfectly in the development of our outdoor classroom.
Amy said that even though she is glad to be a part of LSA because of its unique approach to education, she is “over-the-moon excited to be developing the outdoor classroom this year!” She says that she has dreamt of having this type of opportunity for a long time. Amy believes that the well-rounded education that Montessori provides will “help develop young citizens that can take their experiences, civic minded learning, hands-on STEM knowledge and community centered learning style out into our community to share with others.”
